The CIER -loosely translated as the interpretation centre for renewable energy- is a unique addition to the schoolyard at Richelieu school. It includes a wind generator, solar panels, a greenhouse, etc. and is accessible to students who can grow plants there and use the facilities to learn about renewable energy. The school’s educational program is directed towards the centre and nurtures its students’ environmental conscience.
