Glacier recession

This experiment serves to illustrate the global impact of glaciers melting. By trying it out with your students, you’ll be raising their awareness of global warming. They will be more conscious of the effects of global warming and especially of the consequences of glaciers retreating all over the world.

Material: 5 to 8 large yoghurt containers filled with tap water that has been frozen beforehand, large plastic container, a few bricks, scraps of cardboard (old box), scissors, glue and paint (optional) to create figurines, animals and trees OR you can use plastic trees, animals and figurines, very salty water, hairdryer (to speed things along)
