Do-it-yourself eco projects will inspire

Cheryl Gudz

Do-it-yourself eco projects will inspire from Earth Day Canada :

Meghan from Quebec City grew edible greens on her bike.

Wes from Calgary converted his car to run on vegetable oil.

Donna Marie from Vancouver refurbished an old patio set with recycled materials.

Stéphane from Quebec City created an organic, local, vegan, gluten-free, genetically-modified-free and cholesterol-free poutine!

These fantastic projects and eight more were the top winners in Earth Day Canada’s first ever How did you do that? EcoAction Challenge.

These crafty people shared their methods to cooking, building, planning, and crafting green – while keeping their costs down significantly by reusing and upcycling.

Instructions for the 12 winning projects are available in both English and French, and more inspiring projects will be added here throughout the year.

The challenge returns next fall, so why not start documenting your projects today?
