Cascades and the environment
Cascades' actions
Founded in 1964, Cascades produces, transforms and markets packaging materials and tissue papers composed mainly of recycled fibres.
- We recover more old paper than any other company in Canada.
- In 2008, Cascades used 2.2 million short tons of recycled fibres, which means approximately 37.4 million trees were saved.
- Most Cascades products are made using 100% recycled fibres.
Cascades has been practicing sustainable development for a long time. It is not a trend, a sales tool or an argument for clearing our conscience. It is a result of our values, it is how we do things, and it is our philosophy. It's our DNA!

| Tree saving per double roll bathroom tissue | 0,00181 tree |
| Multiply by 33 739 900 (canadian population according to the last census in 2009) |
61 069 trees |
Paper towels
By switching to 100% recycled fibre paper towels, you could save 7 litres of water per roll.
| Enviro paper towels roll's weight = 111.3 gr | 7,4932 litres |
